Supports text, images, audio, and video with a 1M-token context window and up to 64K output tokens.
Improves multi-step planning, tool calling, instruction following, and first-pass coding accuracy.
Can generate full websites, rebuild interfaces from screenshots, turn PDFs into interactive web pages, and coordinate multiple agents.
Scored 43.6% on FrontierCode 1.1, ahead of Claude Sonnet 5 and GPT-5.6 Terra in the cited test.
Reached 60% on AA-AnalystAgent and 62.7% on AutomationBench-AA.
Still trails GPT-5.6 Terra on some long-horizon coding and terminal benchmarks.
Runs at around 340 tokens per second in Artificial Analysis testing.
Google is also pushing aggressively on price. Until the end of 2026, the API costs $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens, before doubling in 2027. It’s forced to participate in the "Price War"!

AI BREAKTHROUGH
Paul Conyngham has turned the experimental cancer treatment he helped create for his dog Rosie into Gamgee, a new Y Combinator-backed startup building personalized mRNA cancer vaccines for dogs. Main details:
After surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy failed, Rosie was given only months to live.
Conyngham used ChatGPT, AlphaFold, genomic analysis, and other AI tools to help identify mutations in Rosie’s tumor.
Scientists at UNSW then helped manufacture a personalized mRNA vaccine, after which several tumors reportedly shrank significantly.
Gamgee now wants to repeat that process for other dogs by sequencing each tumor, identifying mutations, designing a custom vaccine, and managing treatment with veterinarians.
The company is running trials in Australia and accepting cases globally, with more than 300 dogs reportedly on its waitlist.
The Rosie case is still only an early example, and researchers have cautioned that it is difficult to isolate how much of her improvement came specifically from the vaccine because she received other treatments as well.
