AI INSIGHTS
Who treats astronauts when Earth is 20 minutes away by radio? Soon… it might be AI. Google and NASA are teaming up on CMO-DA (Crew Medical Officer Digital Assistant), an AI trained to diagnose and treat astronauts during deep-space missions where instant contact with Earth just isn’t possible.
Here’s how it works:
CMO-DA runs on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, using open-source heavy-hitters like Llama 3 and Mistral-3 Small.
In early tests, it hit 88% diagnostic accuracy for injuries
→ All while dealing with space-specific challenges like no real-time comms and zero evacuation options.
NASA’s roadmap includes feeding it ultrasound imaging, biometric sensor data, and space medicine training to cover the weird health risks astronauts face outside Earth’s bubble.
And while the focus is on Mars missions and beyond, the same tech could revolutionize telemedicine back on Earth, especially in rural or crisis-hit regions where doctors aren’t nearby.
Perhaps, it’s a PR and policy win? It positions Google as the infrastructure provider for mission-critical AI. So yeah, AI might be the next “doctor on call” for astronauts… and maybe for you, if you live far from a hospital.
Why it matters: You can’t phone Houston for step-by-step medical advice when comms take minutes each way. AI fills that gap. Space innovations have a habit of spinning back to Earth. CMO-DA could become the blueprint for AI-powered remote healthcare systems here at home.

AI CHART
We always wish AI could spit out answers 5x faster without losing quality? Apple researchers quietly published “Your LLM Knows the Future” - a paper revealing a multi-token prediction framework that lets LLMs predict several words ahead instead of one at a time.
The result → AI that finishes your sentences in fewer steps, massively speeding up response time.
In tests using the open-source model, Apple saw:
2–3× speed gains for general chat & Q&A.
Up to 5× faster for predictable outputs like code and math.
No loss in quality
The tech unlocks something researchers have suspected: LLMs already “know” more than the next token, they carry latent knowledge of future tokens. Apple’s method taps into that.
If Apple bakes multi-token prediction deep into their AI stack, devs building for iOS/macOS will be locked into their performance edge.
And if Apple rolls this into Siri or Apple Intelligence, you’ll get snappier responses without sacrificing accuracy, all while keeping processing on your device.
And that’s exactly the kind of differentiator they need if they’re going to compete head-on with Google and OpenAI in the AI race.

Big investors are buying this “unlisted” stock
When the founder who sold his last company to Zillow for $120M starts a new venture, people notice. That’s why the same VCs behind Uber and eBay also backed Pacaso. They made $110M+ in gross profit to date. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO. Now, you can join, too.
