I gave all 3 models the exact same prompts across 5 categories. And the gaps that showed up? Way more interesting than any benchmark chart.

 TL;DR

GPT Image 2 finished as the strongest overall AI Image Model in five real-world tests, with an average score of 9.28/10. Nano Banana 2 scored 8.32, while Grok Image 2 scored 7.94.

The tests covered complex prompt following, text and graphic design, spatial reasoning, photorealism, and multi-constraint design. I used the same prompt for all three models in each round and judged the real outputs.

GPT Image 2 stayed the most consistent across strict instructions. Nano Banana 2 handled the final multi-constraint design test best, while Grok Image 2 produced the most natural photorealistic image.
