AI INSIGHTS
A surprising idea is catching on: AI might not destroy us with slop, it might actually help us escape it. Ethan Mollick calls it mass intelligence: 1B+ people now use near-genius-level models like GPT or Claude. You’ve seen it before.
Google search is flooded with SEO sludge
Airbnb has surprise cleaning fees and shady hosts
Social media feeds? Outrage machines
It’s enshittification (yes, a real term now). It’s what happens when platforms slowly turn to garbage. What if we’re all just getting way smarter? That’s the unshittification.
If everyone has a smart agent, it becomes cheaper to create value than to game the system. Scams get too easy to detect. SEO hacks stop working. Algorithmic tricks die off.
You just need to make deception expensive again. This is what Meta’s $72B bet on “personal superintelligence” is really about. Just look at Alpha School:
AI tutors help kids learn entire grade levels in 20–30 hours.
One kid jumped 50 SAT points after AI found she needed 3rd-grade math practice.
Why It Matters: Every smart user becomes a node in a distributed intelligence network. Every decision gets harder to manipulate. Moloch starts to lose… not because we beat him but because we stop feeding him.

AI CHART
Senior roles continue to grow, but entry-level opportunities are drying up, especially in sectors like retail and software, and for grads from mid-tier schools. Firms that adopt generative AI reduce junior hiring by ~22%, especially in the first 6 quarters after adoption:
Junior roles decline 7–12% vs. non-AI firms.
Senior roles continue to rise.
No major layoffs, firms just stop hiring juniors.
Juniors already inside firms often get faster promotions.
Where it’s hitting hardest:
Wholesale & retail: Entry-level hiring down ~40% per quarter (!)
Graduates from mid-tier universities: Most affected
AI-exposed fields: Think coding, support, anything repeatable
Harvard linked 62M LinkedIn job records with 246M job posts. They tracked what happened to junior vs senior roles before and after companies posted jobs like “AI integrator.”
→ Wages stayed flat. Why? Because the seniors still have leverage, and the juniors who do get in are likely stronger (or more adaptable). The entry-level economy is vanishing before our eyes.
