AI INSIGHTS
AI agents market is becoming one of the fastest-growing segments in tech. The global market size is estimated to grow from USD 5.29 billion in the current year to USD 216.8 billion by 2035, at a CAGR of 40.15% during the forecast period.
But which roles and technologies are growing fastest? And what does it mean for future jobs, startups, or tech leaders?
📈 Growth Drivers:
Advances in NLP → more human-like, intelligent interactions.
Automation push → cuts operational costs and boosts efficiency.
Demand for personalization → AI agents can deliver specific experiences at scale.
Rise of industry-specific assistants (legal, healthcare, etc.) → more niche opportunities.
🧱 Market Segments & Trends:
By Agent System: Single agents dominate. Multi-agent systems expected to grow faster.
By Agent Role: Code generation is now the top role.
By Application: Customer service & virtual assistants lead current usage. But Healthcare agents growing fastest, used for diagnosis support.
By Product Type: Ready-to-deploy agents win. Build-your-own agents are also rising fast.
💼 Major tech players include: Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Meta, NVIDIA, IBM. Also rising: Alibaba, Baidu, Oracle, Salesforce, Avaamo, SoundHound.
One surprising trend is that what started as customer-facing chatbots is now expanding into full-stack assistants that write code, analyze medical data, manage marketing campaigns, and operate machinery in agriculture.
Why It Matters: One agent can now replace entire teams. Code-generation agents may soon become core development tools, every engineer might have an AI "copilot". The line between AI as a tool and AI as a teammate is truly blurring. Will you ride it or get left behind?

AI CHART
A new Duke University study reveals that people who use AI at work are often judged as lazy or less competent, regardless of how effective the AI use is. And even colleagues who benefit from AI may judge others who do the same. So, is AI a silent productivity partner or a silent reputation killer?
1. AI Users Are Perceived More Negatively. People using AI tools were viewed as: lazier, less diligent, less competent, more replaceable. These negative perceptions were stronger than those faced by people using non-AI tools.
2. Employees Often Hide Their AI Use. Many workers choose not to disclose AI use, fearing stigma and professional judgment. This has led to the term “secret cyborgs” referring to those who use AI tools in secret.
3. The Bias Is Universal Across Demographics. The negative perception existed across all groups. No one was spared or judged differently based on who they were.
4. AI Use Affects Hiring Decisions. Managers who rarely use AI themselves were less likely to hire candidates who do. Managers familiar with AI, on the other hand, favored AI-using candidates.
The main reason behind the bias was the belief that AI users are not working as hard. However, when AI use was shown to be task-appropriate, these negative perceptions significantly decreased.
This isn’t the first time tech faced stigma. Do you know that calculators were once banned in schools for “doing the thinking”. AI appears to be the latest in a long line of useful but socially resisted tools.
