Anthropic has officially filed its S-1 with the SEC, moving Claude’s maker toward one of the biggest tech IPOs ever. It plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. Main details:

  • Anthropic generated $16.3B in revenue in the first half of 2026, up from $1.2B a year earlier.

  • Operating loss improved to $693M, although net loss reached $80.7B, mostly because of noncash accounting adjustments tied to convertible debt.

  • As of September, Anthropic had 11,900+ customers spending at least $100K/year, 1,900+ spending $1M+, and around 250 spending $10M+.

  • Anthropic says net revenue retention reached roughly 900%, showing massive expansion from existing enterprise customers.

  • Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the offering.

The company has not yet disclosed the IPO price, number of shares, or official valuation. Reports suggest Anthropic could seek to raise as much as $100B, with investors discussing valuations around $1.5T–$2T.

A listing is reportedly being targeted for mid-November 2026, potentially the week of November 16. If the reported valuation holds, this IPO could become the market’s biggest real-world test of how much investors believe frontier AI companies.

AI BREAKTHROUGH

meet-gpt-6-1-terra

OpenAI just released GPT-6.1 Terra, positioning it as the fast, lower-cost GPT-6 model for visual reasoning, computer use, coding, and everyday professional work. Main upgrades:

  • On OpenAI’s Agents’ Last Exam, Terra scored 15 percentage points higher than GPT-5.6 Terra at roughly one-third the cost.

  • At medium reasoning, it performed roughly on par with GPT-6 Astra while costing around one-tenth as much per token.

  • OpenAI says it completes tasks 3× faster than GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol in its evaluation.

  • On difficult prompts, error rate dropped from 53.6% with GPT-5.6 Terra to 16.7% at low reasoning. At max reasoning, it fell to 4.3%.

  • Terra reached 50.3% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, more than double GPT-5.6 Terra’s published 21.5%. OpenAI still recommends Sol or Astra for the hardest coding jobs.

Pricing is also aggressive: $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens, which OpenAI says is 50% cheaper than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol at standard API rates.

It’s available now in ChatGPT Work, Codex, the OpenAI API, and Amazon Bedrock for supported users.
