Scored #1 on LMArena (1501 Elo if you're keeping score)
Beat GPT-5 Pro on “Humanity’s Last Exam” (scored 37.4 vs 31.6)
Dropped a new “DeepThink” version that hits 45.1% on ARC-AGI-2 🤯
You can already use it now. You can give Gemini 3 anything (images, pdfs, scribbles, etc) and it will create whatever you like. There’s also a new Gemini Agent. Instead of just answering your questions, it can:
Handle multi-step tasks
Build interactive UIs directly in search (like actual sliders and sims)
Plan actions, simulate outcomes, and do stuff
Basically: it’s like you got upgraded from a chatbot to a teammate. Next up, Gemini 3 DeepThink isn’t out yet, but it’s coming soon. It’s made for heavier reasoning like multi-hop logic, long thoughts, more depth.

So right before Google could steal the entire spotlight with Gemini 3, Elon Musk’s xAI pulled a classic move, dropped Grok 4.1 early and made some noise. You can use:
Grok 4.1 - snappy, instant replies
Grok 4.1 Thinking - takes its time, thinks things through
Both are free to use on X, Grok site, and the mobile app. Just pick the vibe you want. In the LMArena Text Arena, Grok 4.1 (Thinking) was #1 on the leaderboard… until Gemini 3 showed up hours later and nudged it to #2.

Creative writing: Only GPT‑5.1 Polaris Alpha scored higher
They also slashed the hallucination rate down to 4.2% (from 12% 😳) and cranked up factual accuracy by 66%.
When we tried using it, the tone is friendlier, more empathetic. Like it actually “gets” you a bit more, but just a bit! You can’t use Grok 4.1 in your own tools or workflows. It’s strictly on their platforms for now.
Plus, they dropped a whitepaper with actual training and eval info (which, for xAI, is rare and kind of cool).
