Nvidia is shaking up the entire AI industry, it involves a massive $70B "missing" investment. While OpenAI and Anthropic start a public war over military deals.

At the Morgan Stanley Tech, Media & Telecom conference, Huang revealed that Nvidia’s recent investments in OpenAI and Anthropic are likely the company’s last. Once both companies go public later this year, it’ll effectively close.
Nvidia has invested heavily in both companies while also selling them the GPUs powering their AI models.
For example, Nvidia once planned to invest up to $100B in OpenAI, while OpenAI committed to buying $100B+ worth of Nvidia chips.
→ Interestingly, Nvidia never actually completed that $100B investment. Some analysts called this arrangement “kind of a wash.” And the final investment ended up much smaller, $30B instead of $100B.
Things have recently become politically complicated. Anthropic refused a Pentagon deal, OpenAI signed a Pentagon deal, creating a clear divide between the two companies. After all, both companies still need Nvidia chips.
Whether OpenAI or Anthropic wins… They both still buy Nvidia GPUs. So the safest strategy might be simple: Sell the chips, and stay out of the drama.
