At Davos, the Nvidia CEO sat down with BlackRock’s Larry Fink and claimed “AI won’t kill jobs. It’ll create them.” Huang says we’re facing a global labor shortage instead. AI has 5 layers. Each layer needs massive investment, infra, and people:

  1. Layer 1: Energy → Real-time AI eats power. Before you get to models or GPUs, you need electricity, lots of it

  2. Layer 2: Chips & Systems → This is Nvidia’s layer: GPUs, networking, compute systems. The raw hardware to process inference at global scale

  3. Layer 3: Cloud Infrastructure → AWS, Google, Azure. AI lives in the cloud
