OpenAI is officially taking the gloves off. A leaked memo from CRO Denise Dresser claims Anthropic’s widely reported $30B revenue run rate is a mirage.
Dresser labeled Anthropic a "single-product company in a platform war," arguing that OpenAI’s multi-pronged approach makes it a more resilient investment. Perhaps the most surprising part of the memo is the candid critique of OpenAI’s own partnership with Microsoft.
Dresser admitted the Microsoft deal has been limiting for enterprise growth due to specific Azure-linked bottlenecks.
Since the February deal to bring OpenAI models to Amazon Bedrock, demand has been staggering. OpenAI is clearly using Amazon to bypass Microsoft’s constraints and capture a wider enterprise market.
She slammed Anthropic’s current "compute shortage" as a strategic failure that is forcing them to throttle user access while OpenAI scales.
Either OpenAI’s internal security is a disaster, or this leak is a calculated strike. OpenAI is effectively writing its S-1 filing in public. Dresser is framing Anthropic as the "fear-based" safety company and OpenAI as the "positive-message" growth engine.
In the lead-up to a public debut, the revenue narrative is everything. If investors start doubting Anthropic’s $30B figure, it could shift billions in valuation toward OpenAI overnight.

Most robots are great at following a script but terrible at understanding a changing environment. Gemini Robotics-ER 1.6 is Google’s answer to that reasoning gap. It’s a total overhaul of how a robot perceives and verifies its own work:
Instrument Reading: In a major win for industrial inspection, the model can now interpret circular pressure gauges, thermometers, and digital displays. It zooms in, runs code to estimate tick marks, and uses world knowledge to know if the pressure is too high.
Agentic Vision: This is the "secret sauce." The model combines visual reasoning with real-time code execution to perform math on what it sees.
Multi-View Success Detection: A robot with a wrist-cam and an overhead view can finally triangulate its success. It synthesizes multiple streams to confirm, "Yes, the blue pen is actually in the holder," even if one view is blocked.
It can now handle complex relational logic, like being told to "move every object that can fit inside the blue cup."
The collaboration with Boston Dynamics is the real signal here. By integrating Gemini ER 1.6 into the Orbit platform, Google has effectively provided a "pre-frontal cortex" for the world’s most advanced hardware.
